Position InformationSpringdale Heights Public School is located in the Southern Riverina area in Albury, NSW. The school provides education to a diverse student body from Kindergarten to Year 6, comprising 221 students, with 17% identifying as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and 4% as English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) learners.
Springdale Heights Public School aspires to deliver an exceptional and inclusive educational journey, prioritising student well being, fostering robust academic growth, and nurturing social development. Specific Selection Criteria- Expertise to lead data driven, research based, quality explicit teaching practices to provide enrichment opportunities, differentiated curriculum and maximise learning outcomes to address the diversity of all learners.
- Demonstrated outstanding communication and negotiation skills to lead and manage complex and challenging situations that lead to improved outcomes for all in a supportive inclusive environment.
- Demonstrated resilience as a visible, approachable leader to build authentic connections and collaboration with staff, parents, community and external agencies to strengthen a culture of productive educational partnerships to enhance learning, wellbeing, attendance and engagement for all students.
- Knowledge, understanding and ability to implement and embed the Department's Equity and Aboriginal Education policies and programs, to enhance quality outcomes for all students.
- High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education.
- Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs.
- High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community.
- Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning.
- Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning.
- Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policy and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

The classification and remuneration of our school principals is based on school complexity, as measured through each school's RAM allocation. As part of the ongoing application of the new structure a review of thresholds and outcomes will occur on an annual basis. The principal classification for this school is Principal Level P1 for 2025 and also for 2026.
