Principal Cyber Security Engineer / Platform Specialist (NV1)

My client, a major Federal Government organisation urgently requires a Cyber Security Engineer / Platform specialist with proven Linux and Privileged Access Management experience for this 12-month contract role based in the Canberra CBD & WFH (Hybrid)

Working in a highly skilled team of IT and Business professionals, this role will focus on performing duties such as Application Control, Vulnerability Scanning Platform Support, Linux Infrastructure Support, Privileged Access Management and Public Key Infrastructure Certificate Management, for a major Cyber Security uplift project with this ACT Government organisation. This is a highly exciting role to work with some of the best in the business in an innovative and collaborative environment. This initial contract will be for 12-months with further extensions guaranteed for upto 2-years (3 years in total) and can be performed working remotely from home 2x days per week, with 3x days per week required in the client's CBD based offices. My client is also willing to consider interstate candidates who are happy to travel to Canberra on-occasion.

Salary / Contract details

• $1200 - $1400 per day (Including Superannuation) + GST
• 3-years (12 month initial contract + 2 years of extensions)
• Canberra CBD / WFH - Hybrid (Interstate candidates who are happy to travel to Canberra on occasion also considered)
• NV1 clearance required - mandatory

• 8 + years' experience as a Cyper Security professional in total
• 7+ years Linux experience (Redhat, Satellite, IDM)
• 5+ years' experience of the following: APP control, Carbon Black, Tenable Vulnerability Management, Privileged Access Management, Active Directory Certificate Services and MS Entra ID
• Excellent communications and stakeholder engagement skills
• NV1 Security Cleared

• Previous Government, Banking or Telco experience
• Proven experience of the following: Nutanix AOS/AHV + Hybrid AOS/ESXi / Prism Central, Microsoft Windows Server Platform and Patching Experience, and VMware Virtualisation, Citrix, Powershell Scripting and Ansible and EntraID Automation.
