Job Overview

As a key member of the Communications and Marketing function, the PR and Marketing Officer is responsible for developing and executing public relations strategies, supporting marketing initiatives, and managing the planning and delivery of corporate and promotional events. This role requires strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and strong coordination capabilities. The PR and Marketing Officer plays a pivotal role in shaping Gulfa's public image, increasing brand visibility, and engaging with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Public Relations
  • Develop and implement integrated PR strategies aligned with organizational and brand objectives.
  • Draft press releases, media kits, briefing notes, speeches, and talking points tailored to various audiences.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, influencers, and other key external stakeholders.
  • Monitor media coverage, compile daily press clippings, and analyze PR campaign performance and brand sentiment.
  • Support crisis communication efforts by drafting timely statements and coordinating responses with leadership.
  • Maintain and update press lists, media kits, and all PR-related assets.
Marketing and Content
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to support campaign execution across digital, print, and social channels.
  • Contribute to the creation and management of content calendars, newsletters, and promotional materials.
  • Ensure consistency in brand voice, tone, and messaging across all communication and marketing platforms.
  • Work closely with design and digital teams to amplify PR and marketing campaigns through targeted content.
Events Management
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage internal and external events, including product launches, conferences, exhibitions, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Create and manage event timelines, budgets, run-of-show documents, and logistics plans.
  • Liaise with vendors, venues, production crews, and internal teams to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Oversee event branding, promotional materials, and visual assets in coordination with design and marketing units.
  • Manage event invitations, registrations, guest communications, and collect post-event feedback for evaluation and improvement.
