The University is a foundational node of Plant Synthetic Biology Australia (PSBA), established under the Commonwealth National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS), subcontracted through BioPlatforms Australia (BPA).
With a considerable degree of autonomy, the Business Manager for PSBA-AU will work closely with the Node's Leadership team. Previous experience in a biotechnology, plant research environment, or related industry is highly desirable.
To be successful, you will need:
- Substantial experience in business operations, financial, and human resource management in a service environment.
- Effective leadership skills to improve performance, foster a harmonious working environment, and maintain an outcome-based focus.
- Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent workload management skills and experience preparing high-quality, timely reports.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to influence diverse stakeholders.
