I am working with a renowned Local Authority who are seeking to appoint a Planning Officerto the Planning Department on an interim basis.
- Up to £40 per hourdependent on experience
- Hybrid working with amixture of home, office, and site visits
Responsibilities:
Providing end to endplanning service for applications submitted
Process planningapplications and permitted development enquiries
Undertake site visits,document and record information
Negotiating withapplicants and interested parties
Processing planningand appeals as appropriate
Attending PlanningCommittee and other meetings as required
Handle enquiries fromthe general public and customers
Calculatingapplication fees
Investigating breachesof planning control
Providing up to dateand accurate information to customers on general planning and related matters
Requirements:
Experience managing arange of planning applications and varied case load
Ability to processapplications and reach justified conclusions
RTPI Accreditationdesirable although not essential
Full Driving Licence and access to a vehicle are required
