Short Description: Senior PeopleSoft Technical Consultant

Location: Melbourne, VIC, AU

Salary: AUD 108,571 - 119,893 (Annual Gross)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PeopleSoft Technical Consultant with over 10 years of IT experience, including extensive hands-on expertise in PeopleSoft HCM and CRM modules. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of PeopleTools (v8.56 and above), advanced development capabilities, and a proven track record in designing, implementing, and supporting PeopleSoft applications.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and support of PeopleSoft HCM/CRM applications (v8.8 or higher).
  • Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain custom PeopleSoft components including pages, records, components, and interfaces.
  • Perform impact analysis, code reviews, and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
  • Support production environments, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.
  • Document technical specifications, test plans, and migration procedures.
  • Optimize performance and ensure data integrity across modules.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers and team members.
Skill / Competencies / Experience

ESSENTIAL

  • Good knowledge of technology landscape to guide the team.
  • Tertiary Qualification in IT / Computer Science / related discipline.

PREFERRED

  • 10+ years of overall IT experience
  • Strong background in PeopleSoft technical development and support
  • Experience with PeopleSoft HCM and/or CRM modules (v8.8 or higher)
  • Proficient in PeopleTools v8.56 and above
  • Strong development experience in PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface, Application Packages
  • Hands-on experience with custom page/component builds, HTML, XML, JavaScript
  • Expertise in Application Messaging and Integration Broker
  • Skilled in writing SQL and PL/SQL queries for data manipulation and reporting
  • Experience with File Layouts, Process Scheduler, and Workflow
  • Familiarity with Change Assistant, Data Mover, and PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM)
  • Knowledge of security setup and role-based access control in PeopleSoft
