We are partnering with an exciting client who are seeking an experienced Payroll Consultant to join a collaborative team and take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing. This role suits someone who enjoys working in a hands-on environment, takes pride in accuracy, and thrives on delivering exceptional service to employees across the business.

The role of the Senior Payroll Consultant is to ensure the delivery of end-to-end payroll processes by making sure they are delivered accurately and on time.

This role will start ASAP and will conclude in April 2026. 2 days working from home on offer.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-end processing of weekly and fortnightly payrolls
  • Perform manual calculations for adjustments, terminations, and back payments
  • Maintain and update employee records in line with company policies and legislation
  • Calculate and process superannuation, PAYG, leave entitlements, and other deductions
  • Conduct payroll reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting requirements
  • Maintaining pay records, employee records and files, leave records and related information
  • Prepare and verify payroll reports, journals, and month-end reconciliations
  • Respond to payroll queries promptly and professionally
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll processes
About You
  • Proven experience in a similar payroll position
  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and compliance requirements
  • Comfortable performing manual calculations and reconciliations
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
  • Experience with Preceda and Workday is highly regarded
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive team player with strong problem-solving abilities
