Job Description

HammondCare pastoral care volunteers have an opportunity to support the spiritual and emotional needs of the elderly clients living in their home. As a pastoral care volunteer you'll be actively involved with a local Christian church.

Do you have a kind heart and a listening ear? A simple visit and a kind ear could make all the difference - could you be the gentle support our client has been hoping for?

You'll supplement andcomplement the work of our HammondCare At Home Pastoral Care Coordinator, and under their direction you may:

- Support people to meet their spiritual needs

Skills required for this role:

- High level of interpersonal skills, including strong empathy and listening skills.

- Pastoral Care training for example Chaplaincy, Clinical Pastoral Education, or you could attend HammondCare pastoral care training- Spiritual Care Series, in preparation to becoming a pastoral care volunteer.

Requirements

18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arrangedand paid for by HammondCare •

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week fora one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday, visits could be weeklyto fortnightly depending on your availability.
