HammondCare is an independent Christian charity specialising in dementia care, palliative care, and rehabilitation, specialist mental health for older people and other health and aged services.

Responsibilities- Work under the direction of the HammondCare At Home Pastoral Care Coordinator to supplement and complement their work.
- Support people to meet their spiritual needs.
- High level of interpersonal skills, including strong empathy and listening skills.
- Pastoral Care training for example Chaplaincy, Clinical Pastoral Education, or you could attend HammondCare pastoral care training - Spiritual Care Series, in preparation to becoming a pastoral care volunteer.
Volunteering alongside Pastoral Care can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
HammondCareHammondCare is an independent charity, specialising in dementia. We're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need and we have a wonderful group of volunteers that make a difference in the lives of our clients. We'll provide training, as well as specific pastoral care training, Spiritual Care Series, along with ongoing support and invitations to social events.

Requirements- 18 years or older
- National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
- One hour each week for 6 months or longer. We would be happy to discuss a suitable time between Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm
