Role Overview
As the Outside BDR for the PNW, you will be the field-based ambassador for Mt. Angel Vitamins. This role is responsible for driving new business, increasing SKU placements, growing share of shelf, andexpanding into new channels, including health practitioners. Youll also work to educate existing accounts on new products and campaigns to deepen brand loyalty and pull-through.
Key Responsibilities
- New Account Acquisition
Identify, prospect, and close new business across independent retailers, regional chains, and practitioner offices. - Territory Coverage & Field Sales
Travel throughout the PNW at least 3 days per week, visiting accounts, conducting staff trainings, and improving relationships. - Education & Sell-Through Support
Conduct in-store associate education, deliver marketing collateral, and ensure awareness and activation of new items and promotions. - Channel Expansion
Engage naturopaths, chiropractors, and integrative clinics to open new practitioner-focused sales channels. - Marketing & Trade Events
Attend regional trade shows, expos, and events to represent the brand and generate leads. - Reporting & CRM
Log all activities, call reports, and opportunity progress in CRM or sales tracking tools.
Key Metrics for Success
- Number of new retail and practitioner accounts opened per quarter
- Growth in average SKUs per account
- Account retention and reorder velocity
- Field visit volume and territory coverage
- Participation in trade shows, trainings, and activations
- Total territory revenue growth YoY
Qualifications
Must-Haves
- Outgoing, service-oriented personality with high energy and positivity
- Strong desire to educate, connect, and create value for customers
- Proven hunter mentalityrelentless in pursuit of opportunity
- Consultative sales mindsetcomfortable explaining benefits, ingredients, and differentiators in wellness products
- Ability to travel 5070% of the time within the region
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
Nice-to-Haves
- Prior experience in supplements, natural products, or health & wellness CPG
- Familiarity with PNW accounts and regional health food ecosystem
- Territory-building or new market development experience
- Background in nutritional consulting, personal training, or health education
