We're currently seeking a hands on and experienced Operations Manager to join our Smeaton Grange team, a key leadership role with a clear succession pathway to the Site Manager position. This is an exceptional opportunity for a results driven leader who wants to shape the future of our site operations and grow their career within a national business.
- Deliver the agreed production plan within budget, ensuring efficient conversion of raw materials into finished goods.
- Drive operational excellence through best practice systems and processes under the One Harvest Production System (OPS).
- Champion food and people safety across all factory floors.
- Maintain and report on site KPIs, driving continuous improvement across safety, delivery, quality, and financial outcomes.
- Manage business and site changes effectively, fostering collaboration and engagement across teams.
- Lead and mentor operations team, setting clear performance standards and supporting professional growth.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Develop succession plans and internal bench strength, preparing future leaders for success.
- Encourage collaboration across sites to share best practice and harmonise operations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal), with experience leading large teams and maximising performance.
- Previous management experience in a similar industry is advantageous.
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Solid understanding of effective rostering and labour management.
- Exceptional organisation, problem solving, and time management skills, with the ability to delegate and manage performance.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask, collaborating effectively with stakeholders across all business areas.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to deliver objectives on time, including setting and managing budgets.
