To lead and manage day to day operations of 321Sports, ensuring smooth, safe, and high quality service delivery across all sports and fitness facilities. Includes overseeing customer service excellence, staff induction, training, development and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and quality management systems.
Roles and Responsibilities- 1. Manage staffing, policies, procedures and work planning for the operations team.
- 2. Supervise cleaning, maintenance, recycling and FM contracts during both event and non event periods.
- 3. Oversee health & safety protocols, customer service standards and quality management systems.
- 4. Manage cleaning stock control, including ordering supplies and ensuring COSHH compliance.
- 5. Oversee venue merchandise operations, including procurement and stock management.
- 6. Maintain and update induction and training records for all staff.
- 7. Act as the venue's lead environmental champion, promoting sustainability initiatives.
- 8. Oversee and manage the implementation and smooth operation of the venue's point of sale, programming, ticketing, and booking systems.
- 9. Liaise with relevant sporting bodies and government statutory authorities on venue related matters.
- 10. Collaborate with other venue managers to program, set up, and deliver venue activities and events.
- 11. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all Modon staff and key stakeholders.
- Ensure all Modon and venue health & safety regulations are followed by employees.
- Monitor contractor compliance with health & safety requirements while on site.
- Safeguard the health, safety and welfare of staff, visitors, and contractors.
- Conduct and maintain reviews of venue SOPs, EAPs, risk assessments and daily/weekly/monthly checklists.
- Ensure first class service delivery through the customer service and operations teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all venue staff and customers.
- Evaluate and enhance the operational team's performance in line with Modon's processes and standards.
- Oversee Modon's corporate and venue specific induction programmes tailored to different job roles.
- Maintain the staff training matrix, ensuring timely completion of internal and external training requirements.
- Ensure accurate training records for FM and cleaning staff, including safety and compliance documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Facility Management or a related field (Essential).
- IOSH Managing Safely certification (Prefer).
- CPR, AED and First Aid certification (Prefer).
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in operations and/or event venue management, preferably within the sports industry.
- Strong knowledge of sports venue logistics, customer service standards and event coordination.
- Experience in managing sporting venues and team operations.
- Proven ability to manage external contractors and service providers.
- Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Willingness to work weekends and extended hours as required by business needs.
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong leadership, communication and team management capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and basic operations software.
- Strong planning and execution skills for venue programmes and events.
