The New South Wales Police Force has a new position for a media officer, based in Sydney. Under the Offices of the Commissioner and NSW Minister for Police and Emergency Services, the media officer will be assigned tasks such as development and dissemination of media releases, organising ministerial announcements, and processing media enquiries.
Responsibilities- Develop and disseminate media releases.
- Organise ministerial announcements.
- Process media enquiries.
- Strong background in PR and communications.
- Citizenship or eligibility as Australian citizen/permanent resident, or New Zealand citizen.
- Applications to be submitted via I Work for NSW.
- Require CV and cover letter no more than two pages.
- Include a 300-word essay for each of two specific questions in the online application.
- Successful applicants may be shortlisted for interview with relevant documents to be provided.
- Final verification includes a National Police Check prior to entry into the Force.
