Our volunteers are integral to the health service and provide invaluable support to staff, patients and visitors. St John of God Midland Hospital is supported by 80 volunteers who help out by generously giving their time, energy and care to the patients, staff, and visitors. They assist in many areas across the organisation including wayfinding, emergency, Forget Me Not program, Chemo ward, discharge lounge and Administration.Our music volunteers support the hospital by creating a warm environment to enhance our patients experience during their stay. This will include: Playing music in general areas of the hospital or by the bedside.
We provide the police clearance and reimburse the cost of the Working With Children Check, if required.
Requirements- National Police Certificate
- Working with Children Check
Volunteers will need to play their chosen instrument proficiently for intervals of 15-30 minutes for 1-2 hours per week.
