Mine Geologist

Minara Resources has an opportunity for an experienced Mine Geologist to join our team.

Our Murrin Murrin site in WA's northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. In this role, you will become a member of a hardworking, proactive and committed team who are responsible for the coordination and execution of geological activities at the Murrin Murrin Mine site.

You will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with our mine team to coordinate geology activities across our site.
• Daily production duties including in-pit mapping, supervision of mining activities, ore block design, production reporting and mine to mill reconciliation.
• The planning and designing of resource drilling, lithological logging, QA/QC analysis and reporting.
• Maintain effective and accurate data processing and geological interpretation of drill data.
• Design grade control drill programs to achieve maximum benefit and accuracy.
• Contribute to the delivery of accurate grade control models for grade control and resource development purposes.
• Conduct project work and geological investigations, as required whilst reviewing and contributing to continuous improvement of current process and systems.

This role would suit a tertiary qualified Mine Geologist with previous experience in Open Pit Mining.

• Hold a Current & Valid Manual C class driver's licence.
• Demonstrate a sound experience and understanding of geostatistical and modelling geological principles, including their principles.
• Experience with RC drilling supervision.
• Previous exposure to Vulcan, Deswik and Acquire Systems (Advantageous).
• Exceptional problem solving and report writing skills.
• Have the ability to work across both production and development Geology.
• Have effective communication skills to relay technical information and activities to non-technical team members.
