Microsoft Power Platform Developer

Location: Canberra, Sydney or Melbourne (Hybrid)

Saltus Group is partnering with a leading Federal Government department delivering a suite of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) business applications that drive collaboration, resource optimisation, and integrated business solutions across complex enterprise environments.

Working within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and modern DevOps delivery model, this position offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale transformation initiatives that leverage the Microsoft Power Platform and D365 ecosystem to deliver tangible public outcomes.

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer (Microsoft Power Platform Developer) who combines hands on technical capability with a collaborative, Agile mindset. You'll play a key role in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise grade applications as part of a multidisciplinary product team.

• Collaborate with product owners and development teams to design and implement innovative software solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and design standards.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications built on the Microsoft Power Platform and D365 CRM.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) activities within a DevOps environment.
• Review and refine requirements, user stories, and peer code submissions to ensure high quality, maintainable solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation, configuration artefacts, and release notes to support implementation and operational readiness.
• Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting in a DevOps model for deployed solutions.

• Minimum 5 years' experience across multiple technology disciplines, with expertise in one or more areas.
• Proven experience working in Agile/SAFe delivery environments.
• Strong understanding of DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git, pipelines, automated testing).
• Relevant IT qualifications and/or Microsoft certifications.

• Experience working in an Agile/SAFe environment.
• Experience using DevOps tools.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Microsoft Power Platform Developer and D365 Online CRM Developer in a large enterprise environment.
• Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of CRM Portal solutions and/or ADX Portals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document and explain technical designs clearly.

• Experience working within a Federal Government or highly regulated environment.
• Formal qualifications and/or certifications in software engineering, Agile or Microsoft technologies.
• High competency in CRM form programming (JavaScript).
• Experience and proficiency in Custom Page Integration.
