My client is an international supplier to the power generation industry, and they have an excellent opportunity for a SERVICE ENGINEER / TECHNICIAN to join their team based from Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
The control of all aspects of service work tasks including supervision of the working party.
To deliver site service provision for all new and existing customers in a courteous and professional manner, within the UK and Overseas when required.
When not delivering Site Service activities, attend CPC workshop facility and report to the Assembly Workshop Team Leader for work allocation, including but not limited to refurbishment & new assembly.
In agreement with the Sales and Service Manager and when workload allows admin duties can be carried out from home or the Doncaster office.
THE ROLE:
• Work closely with fellow Service Engineers and the Sales & Service Manager to prepare and plan for delivering all Service activities. Utilisation of MH Service Hub to be used within day to day operations.
• When on site be actively involved in building working relationships with site contacts.
• Be observant for any further opportunities to be reported back to the sales team.
• Share hot desk facilities in the CPC workshop office to prepare all associated paperwork, for example;- RAMS, Service Reports, Spares Parts List etc.
• To identify and solve problems as they occur in conjunction with members of other departments.
• To supervise agency fitters and APC Technicians when deployed as part of the working party.
• Upon completion of works compile service report, utilisation of MH Service Report Template to be used to produce a professional & accurate report.
• Advise customers on the correct equipment operation, care and maintenance.
• To aid service booking a minimum forward notice period of 2 weeks is required (where possible) where engineers are unable to work away or have personal evening events in which they can only work standard shifts.
• Will be responsible for managing your scheduled workload in line with the Scope of works .
• To carry out any other duties that can reasonably be assessed to be part of the role
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• Time served Mechanical Apprenticeship with site experience of industrial filter systems.
• P601 Examination and Testing of LEV systems & P602 Service Qualification an advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity and understanding of Electrostatic Precipitators.
• Fabrication and welding skills.
• An understanding of compressed air and electrical control circuits.
• Professional approach with excellent communication skills both verbal & written.
• Full clean driving Licence.
• IT Literate; - Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
PACKAGE DETAILS:
Salary is negotiable, midweek and weekend overtime rates apply, depending on experience.
Annual performance orientated Bonus Scheme.
25 days annual paid leave in addition to statutory holidays.
37 hour working week although a flexible attitude to working hours will be necessary.
