This is an exciting opportunity to join the financial fund reporting team at our client as a Manager - Financial Fund and Statutory Reporting. This full-time role is based in their Sydney CBD office.

The Manager will report directly to the Head of, and will be responsible for managing a specialist team of 9 staff. The Manager will be responsible for the allocation of work to staff and ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of reporting and calculation services to Clients in accordance with service level agreements.

On a day to day basis, the Manager provides support to the Senior Financial Accountants, enabling them to manage their clients and deliverables and assisting them to resolve specific queries with the client. The Manager is the escalation point for all of our clients.

What you'll be doing
  • Lead the preparation of financial statements, investor reports and other regulatory reporting for a portfolio of financial investment funds
  • Manage the month-end and year-end reporting processes, ensuring all reporting deliverables are completed accurately and on time
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to the fund management team to support investment decision-making
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including fund administrators, auditors and investors
  • Oversee the work of junior team members, providing coaching and mentorship
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in financial reporting standards and regulations within the funds management industry
What we're looking for
  • 8+ years of experience in financial reporting, preferably within the funds management industry plus prior team management expertise
  • Strong technical accounting and financial analysis skills, with expertise in the preparation of financial statements and investor reports and APRA reports
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into easily understandable insights
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • CPA or CA qualification is highly desirable
