Job Description

Are you a finance manager with experience in managing a team in a customer or member-focused organisation?

About the role

As the Finance Manager at QBANK, you will be responsible for leading a small Finance team and overseeing the day-to-day functions of the Finance department, including management of all aspects of financial, statutory and management reporting in accordance with policies, regulatory standards and timeframes. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this hands on role also has the responsibility for and involvement in the bank's treasury operations, budgeting processes, payroll administration and taxation activities.

Responsibilities:

Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial, management, and Board reporting, providing key insights on performance and results.

Coordinate the annual budget process and quarterly forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic and financial goals.

Oversee payroll, accounts payable and receivable, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and high-quality delivery.

Manage financial compliance and regulatory obligations, including APRA, BAS, FBT, and annual audit requirements.

Maintain effective treasury, liquidity, and funding management, including securitisation facilities and wholesale funding programs.

Lead, coach, and develop a collaborative Finance team committed to excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Desired Skills and Experience

Essential skills and experience

  • University degree qualification in accounting or finance
  • Membership of CPA Australia or The Institute of Chartered Accountants
  • Previous leadership experience and ability to coach and mentor team members.
  • Highly developed attention to detail and ability to deliver results within set deadlines
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft suite of products with Excel at an advanced level

Desired skills

  • Experience with Technology One finance system desirable
  • Experience in a financial services or ADI environment very desirable
