The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference to the life of an older person, right here in Erina.
We are looking for a reliable person to assist us one to two days per week to keep our Residential Care Home looking its best. Duties may include tidying our gardens, pruning, minor repairs or maintenance, changing light globes, BBQ checks, pressure washing paths, re-arranging storerooms, painting, refinishing outdoor furniture, lubricating door locks, and so on. If you feel this is a good match for you, we'd like to hear from you.
Your impact
Volunteering as a Maintenance Handyperson Volunteer can be a rewarding experience, both for the people you interact with and for yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. In your daily tasks and routine, you will cross paths with residents interested in what you are doing and who love a chat.
• 18 years or older
• National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
• Weekday role - Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm for a few hours; we would be happy to discuss your availability.
