Maintenance Mechanics & Technicians

The maintenance technicians and mechanics at Japs-Olson play a critical role in ensuring our production equipment is running as efficiently as possible throughout the day. In this role, you will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair various industrial machines.
Pay:
Hours:
- 2nd Shift: 2pm-10pm with an additional $0.75/hour shift differential
- 3rd Shift: 10pm-6am with an additional $1.25/hour shift differential
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment and components
- Troubleshoot and repair large scale commercial printing presses
- Provide best practices to improve equipment reliability
- Maintain spare parts inventory.
- Order spare/replacement parts and materials
- Follow management system procedures, 5S and Standard Work.
- Follow document control procedures.
- Participate in rotating weekend on-call schedule
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical degree (or working towards degree) in electrical, electronics, or mechanical preferred
- Knowledge of production and/or printing related equipment a plus
- Strong mechanical and electrical background
- Previous experience working with printing, bindery, and mailing equipment
- Good problem-solving techniques and abilities
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and/or pneumatic systems
- Knowledge of operation and/or repair of commercial printing equipment

*Stay-On Bonus amount is based on experience. Paid out in three installments at 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months of employment at Japs-Olson.
