B1 LAME - Maintenance Services Representative - Sydney, Australia. Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC) is a world leading supplier of in-flight entertainment, communication systems and aircraft maintenance. PAC's Australia head office is located in Alexandria, NSW with offices across NSW, VIC, NT, SA, QLD and WA.
ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Services Representative roles based in our offices at airports in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Cairns, Perth, and Darwin. Duties include:
- Aircraft/IFE maintenance and support, including identifying, dismantling, inspecting, testing and repairing aircraft parts, engines and systems to restore functional acceptance.
- Inspecting and installing electrical circuits, removing/replacing defective modules and cabling as needed.
- Troubleshooting and defect rectification, built-in test (BIT) and manual testing on aircraft systems using electronic testing equipment.
- Rectifying defects in components (e.g., aircraft oxygen systems) to meet maintenance requirements.
- Attending to issues in assembling parts on the aircraft frame affecting airworthiness and safety.
- Performing routine pre-flight line maintenance checks and inspections of engines, frames and mechanical systems for airline clients.
- Maintain records for inspections, repairs, replacements, modifications and maintenance using computer and bar-coding equipment.
- Ensure maintenance release documentation includes details of work carried out and signatory supervision as required.
- Respond to defects found during inspections and those recorded by flight crew in the aircraft technical log.
- Read engineering drawings and ensure repairs comply with manufacturer instructions for the Type Certificate.
- Test and operate airline communications equipment.
- Assist in tracking spares inventory and preparing parts received.
- Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
- Holds AQF Certificate IV in aeroskills or a trade certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or equivalent.
- For MSR role, minimum 5 years experience in aircraft maintenance as a licensed aircraft maintenance engineer.
- Appropriate academic/technical qualifications and experience to satisfy regulatory licensing (CASA/EASA/FAA A&P).
- Ability to obtain a red ASIC.
- Ability to pass extensive security and background checks.
- Unrestricted CASA Licence Cat B1 with B737, A320, A330, B777, B787, A380, B747-400, or A350 Type Ratings.
- FAA A&P with B747/B777 certifying experience may also be considered.
- Willing to travel internationally and domestically, up to 25% of the time.
- Hold a valid driver's license.
- Ability to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
- Manual dexterity to handle tools and equipment; ability to cope with environmental conditions (noise, weather, etc.).
