Our client is a global life sciences organization that supports the medical and scientific community through innovative research and healthcare solutions. Their office is based in Macquarie Park, which manages local operations, logistics, and customer service functions while working closely with international teams across Europe and the US.

About the Opportunity

In this role you will take ownership of import/export coordination, inventory control and logistics administration. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and freight partners to manage purchase orders, shipments, and inbound deliveries. This position will suit someone who thrives in a structured yet dynamic environment, enjoys cross functional communication and takes pride in accuracy and process efficiency.

Duties
  • Coordinate imports, exports, and freight forwarding activities end to end
  • Raise purchase orders and track supplier confirmations, pricing and delivery schedules
  • Maintain stock accuracy, monitor inventory levels and support replenishment planning
  • Prepare and review documentation for biosecurity and manufacturing declarations
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers and global operations teams
  • Support warehouse and customer service teams with order fulfilment as needed
  • Analyse KPI reports and identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Assist with month end reporting and forecasting support
Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience in logistics, import/export or supply chain coordination is essential
  • Experience working in regulated industry such as medical devices, pharmaceutical or FMCG is preferred
  • Proficient with SAP or a similar ERP system is essential
  • Advanced Excel skills are required
  • Strong understanding of import/export processes and documentation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High attention to detail, accuracy and organisation
  • Proactive, adaptable and able to work both independently and collaboratively
