A large food ingredients manufacturer is recruiting for a Logistics Associate, on a full-time, permanent basis. This role would suit someone who is happy with hybrid working, happy to commute into central London twice per week. This role would suit someone from a
commodity trading background with experience in international import and export experience, within the FMCG industry.

The Role
- Processing import, export and cross trade operations from start to finish, including processing shipping documents, sending customs clearance instructions and delivery of goods and documents to the warehouse or client
- Maintain accurate records of all import transactions via company records system
- Liaise with forwarders and warehouses to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Ensure compliance with all relevant import regulations and procedures
- Handling non-conformances and occasional on-site inspection of warehouses
- Process invoices from warehouses, forwarders and other suppliers
- Any other items that may arise
The Person
- Experience in international trade and logistics (shipping, exports and imports) is essential
- Experience working with shipping lines and forwarding agents in different modes of transportation (sea and air)
- Knowledge of the customs clearance procedures within the EU & UK
- Experience fulfilling Export requirements with regards to documentation
- Working knowledge of exports to different countries (Middle East, Africa and South America)
- Working knowledge of import regulations within the food industry and port health requirements
