LHH is seeking a Legal Billing Specialist for a job in San Diego, CA. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has strong attention to detail. You'll work closely with attorneys and clients to ensure accurate and timely billing, resolve invoicing issues, and support the full billing cycle from start to finish. The anticipated pay for this role is between $27-$36 an hour.

Responsibilities:

Prepare, edit, and finalize monthly client invoices in collaboration with billing attorneys

Review and incorporate attorney revisions before distributing final bills

Apply payments and maintain up-to-date billing records

Communicate with client accounting teams to resolve billing questions and discrepancies

Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances

Submit invoices through eBilling systems as needed (e.g., TyMetrix, Legal-X, Collaborati)

Qualifications:

2+ years of billing experience in a law firm or similar professional services setting

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office programs

Familiarity with eBilling platforms such as Serengeti, TyMetrix, Collaborati, etc.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines

Strong customer service mindset and proactive approach
