Legal Advisor (Contracts and Commercial)

The Legal Advisor will play a pivotal role in providing legal counsel and support in contractual matters and commercial transactions. This position requires a deep understanding of contract law, impeccable language proficiency in English, and the ability to navigate complex legal scenarios within a commercial context. Proficiency in Arabic a definite advantage.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Law from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on contracts and commercial law.
• Proficiency in both English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Arabic a definite advantage.
• Strong understanding of contract law principles and commercial practices.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
• Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree or specialization in Contract Law, Commercial Law, or related field.
• Previous experience working in a corporate legal department or law firm.
• Additional language proficiency beyond Arabic and English.
• Certification or training in contract management or commercial arbitration.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including but not limited to vendor agreements, service contracts, and licensing agreements.
• Provide legal advice and guidance on contractual matters to internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Assess and mitigate legal risks associated with contractual obligations and business transactions.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making processes and resolve legal issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, and finance, to address legal concerns and facilitate smooth contract negotiations.
• Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations pertaining to contracts and commercial activities.
