About the roleThe Learning and Development Consultant is a key contributor to fostering a vibrant and inclusive workplace culture by designing and coordinating professional development opportunities across the college. This role involves planning a calendar of engaging activities, creating promotional materials using digital tools, and managing logistics to ensure smooth delivery. The consultant also monitors participation and outcomes, ensuring initiatives align with strategic priorities and support staff growth.
In addition to professional development event coordination, the role requires strong stakeholder engagement, working closely with internal teams and external partners to tailor development activities to the college's needs. The consultant supports onboarding processes, contributes to team operations through administrative tasks, and represents the Learning and Development team on committees.
Essential skills include project coordination, stakeholder consultation, proficiency in Microsoft Office and desktop publishing, with cultural awareness and experience working respectfully with Aboriginal communities considered desirable.
