The protection and improvement of water quality across Wales' designated Bathing Water sites is a strategic priority. Welsh Government have provided additional funding to strengthen NRW's capacity to implement the Bathing Water Regulations. This role will lead development of a long-term, structured programme to support bathing water management across Wales. The role will:
- Establish and deliver a prioritised programme of work, including a review of existing guidance and identification of strategic opportunities.
- Convene a working group of key partners, including Welsh Government, to steer and oversee progress.
- Maintain a priority list of emerging issues and coordinate an associated work programme to address them.
- Strengthen monitoring arrangements and prepare for anticipated regulatory changes to support long-term resilience and continued compliance with water quality standards.

The post sits within the Water Quality Policy team, part of the wider Sustainable Water & Nature Group. You will report to the Water Quality Policy team leader.
