Come together with residents at HammondCare Woy Woy to assist with existing projects or to help start a new one. Ideally, you have a passion for knitting, sewing, crochet, or all three. Be rewarded as you volunteer your time with other people who are interested in this activity; we will provide the resources as you provide your friendly self and skillset.
Your Impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the clients you are matched with.
HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare • Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination will be required (Two doses) •
The commitment is one hour per week for a minimum of 6 months. We would be delighted to talk with you about a suitable day and time during the week (Monday to Friday).
