HammondCare is an independent Christian charity specialising in dementia care, palliative care, and rehabilitation, specialist mental health for older people and other health and aged services.

We are looking for a warm, Italian-speaking volunteer to spend quality time with a delightful elderly lady in her room. She enjoys chatting about Italian culture, watching movies-especially Disney and ballet-and listening to classical music. She would love someone to read her favourite book aloud and share in light-hearted conversation. If you speak Italian and have a kind, patient nature, this is a beautiful chance to bring joy and connection to her day.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
