About the Role

Empirical Solutions invites you to join our growing team as an IT Project Manager within our IT Services division.

This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver impactful technology and projects that support the Government sector. You'll oversee project planning, implementation, and delivery - ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with technical and strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with strong commercial acumen, technical understanding, and the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

As an IT Project Manager, you will:

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects
• Manage project scope, budget, schedule, and risk, ensuring alignment with business and client objectives
• Build and maintain effective customer and supplier relationships
• Interpret and translate technical requirements into actionable project outcomes
• Oversee the performance of cross-functional teams, promoting collaboration and accountability
• Support change management and continuous improvement initiatives across project lifecycles
• Prepare project documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders and executives

What We're Looking For

We welcome applications from professionals who bring:

• 5+ years' experience in technical or IT project management
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques (Agile, PMBOK, PRINCE2, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional and technical teams
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in complex, high-security environments
• A customer-focused mindset with the ability to deliver outcomes under pressure

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Project Management, ICT, or Engineering
• AIPM certification or PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification (highly desirable)
• Experience within the Defence or National Security sector (highly desirable)
• Current or eligible security clearance
