Temporary Invoicing Clerk Romford Hybrid: 2 days in the office, 3 at home

Are you a finance professional with strong billing experience and available for a temporary role? Our client, a respected construction company based near Romford, is seeking a Billing & Invoice Specialist to support their Finance team on a temporary basis.This is a great opportunity to join a busy, high-performing team and make an immediate impact by ensuring accurate cost capture and supporting revenue recovery across multiple client accounts.Key Responsibilities

  • Process and record purchase invoices from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Chase subcontractors for documentation and ensure timely submissions.
  • Validate and approve subcontractor invoices, resolving any discrepancies.
  • Accurately record chargeable and out-of-scope costs on client systems.
  • Support supplier reviews and suggest process improvements.
  • Assist with reporting on rejected work orders and escalate issues as needed.
  • Provide insights on cost recovery and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure timely closure of work orders to support KPIs.
  • Support credit control with invoice processing to maximise cash flow.
What We're Looking ForExperience & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a billing or sales ledger role (essential).
  • Experience in a high-volume finance environment.
  • Studying towards an accountancy qualification (desirable).
  • Proficient in Excel (intermediate level).
  • Familiarity with SUN and INFOR systems (advantageous).
