Industrial Door Engineer - Service and Repair

Are you a hands-on engineer who loves solving problems and keeping things running smoothly? Do you take pride in quality workmanship and delivering great service? If so, we want you on our team.

We're looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join our team, specialising in the servicing, repair, and maintenance of industrial and automatic door systems, including roller shutters, sectional doors, gates, and automatic doors. You'll work on a mix of planned maintenance, emergency repairs, and fault diagnosis across a variety of customer sites.

Location: Bristol and surrounding areas

Duration: Permanent

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £15-17 per hour (depending on experience)

The Service Engineer Role:

Servicing Roller Shutters Gates, Automatic and Industrial Doors
Carrying out a dynamic risk assessment for every site visit to minimise all potential risks to self and others
Diagnosing and quantifying repairs or upgrades
Participate in the out of hours call out and standby rota
To adhere to company quality standards at all times
Meeting customer expectations on service delivery and professional standards

Experience and Skills required:

Ideally 2 years' experience in the Industrial and Automatic Door industry
Good organisational and communication skills
The ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
Relevant CSCS card (advantageous)
Familiar with the use of a PDA
Fault finding assets

It would be advantageous for an applicant to hold these qualifications:

NVQ level 2
CSCS Card
IPAF
Electrical qualifications
DHF
ADSA
Familiarity of electrical control equipment within the door industry e.g. access controls, safety devices, single and three phase motor units

Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
