About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Indirect Tax Manager responsible for overseeing key tax functions including sales and use tax, property tax, and administration of business incentives. This role ensures compliance, supports tax planning, and partners with internal teams to manage tax-related risks and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage U.S. sales and use tax and Canadian GST compliance, ensuring accurate and timely filing of returns and payments. Conduct tax research and planning as needed to support compliance and business operations.
- Manage and work hands-on for all phases of sales and use tax audits-including reverse audits -with responsibility for documentation and settlement negotiations.
- Maintain and manage Thomson Reuters Indirect Tax Compliance Software, ensuring data accuracy, timely updates, and troubleshooting system issues.
- Manage third-party CPA firm relationship on property tax, sales and use tax audits, and special projects, ensuring effective support and timely resolution of business needs.
- Responsible for property tax accruals and payments.
- Act as a liaison for global VAT tax compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
- Minimum of 7 years of sales and use tax experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. With proven ability to research complex tax issues and resolve audit findings.
- Master of Tax (MST) and/or CPA.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Prior exposure to property tax and business incentives.
- Experience with Thomson Reuters Indirect Tax Compliance Software.
