Designation: Import/Export Specialist Department: Executive Management Office Job Purpose: 
The Import/Export Specialist (Cargo Specialist) will be responsible for managing and facilitating the import of plants from various countries into the UAE , ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
Import/Export Specialist Key Accountabilities:- Coordinate the import of plants/other materials from various countries, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and international trade agreements.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, customs brokers, and freight forwarders to streamline the import process.
- Prepare and submit all necessary documentation for customs clearance and compliance, including phytosanitary certificates and import permits.
- Stay updated on local and international regulations regarding the import and export of plants/other materials, including any changes in legislation.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement procedures to mitigate compliance risks.
- Analyze market trends and identify potential new sources for plant imports and export opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of all import/export transactions and prepare regular reports for management.
- Ensure all records are compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the manager.
- Bachelor's in Commerce
Minimum years of experience:
- 5 years of similar experience
Skills and Competencies:
- Good communication in English; Arabic will be an added advantage.
- Good analytical skills.
- Team player.
- Presentation skills.
- Report preparation skills.
