The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference to the life of an older person, right here in Hunter NSW.
Make everyone's day by pushing a trolley with ice cream, toppings & sweet treats around to residents living with dementia at our residential aged care home. We all love a sweet treat once in a while. You'll bring joy to residents every time you pass by.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the residents you are matched with.
HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements- National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
Ideally you'll be available 1-2 hours per week for 6 months or longer. We'd be happy to chat with you about a suitable day, between 2:00pm-4:00pm.
