The Opportunity

Miller Leith is proud to be partnering with a high-profile, market-leading FMCG organisation, home to a portfolio of well-known and much-loved brands. The Role

As a key member of the Group HSE team, you will be responsible for HSE systems in addition to the Corporate, Commercial and Supply Chain functions, you'll play a crucial role in strengthening the safety culture, driving environmental initiatives, and ensuring that every team member returns home safely each day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Health & Safety plan for the Corporate, Commercial and Supply Chain teams, bringing national strategy to life through local initiatives, visible leadership, and seamless integration into daily operations.
  • Co-create and deliver the site Environment Plans in partnership with operational HSE teams, driving measurable outcomes.
  • Stay ahead of evolving HSE legislation and standards, ensuring full compliance through proactive audits and expert oversight.
  • Investigate incidents with precision, identify root causes, and embed corrective actions.
  • Track and report HSE performance data, turning insights into actions that lift safety and environmental outcomes.
  • Design and deliver engaging training that inspires safe, confident behaviours in teams, contractors, and visitors.
  • Develop and embed policies and procedures that people understand, embrace, and live by every day.
  • Support leaders with early intervention in injury management and workers' compensation to ensure swift, effective recovery.

About You

  • Proven experience in a similar HSE systems role within a manufacturing environment.
  • A strong operational understanding of safety and environmental management, with a proactive, collaborative approach to building relationships across all levels.
  • Skilled communicator and natural influencer, able to engage, inspire, and take people on the journey.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant HSE legislation, regulations, and standards.
  • A confident coach and mentor, passionate about uplifting capability across operational teams.
  • Experienced in leading change and introducing new initiatives in fast-paced environments.
  • A visible and authentic leader who leads by example, brings energy to the role, and earns trust through action.
