My client, a manufacturer and supplier based in Wolverhampton is looking for a HR Officer to join their team. You will provide high-quality HR support and guidance to their management team and employees.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and support on all employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance issues, performance management, absence management, and employee well being.
  • Collaborate with line managers to develop and maintain robust employee development plans, ensuring the continuous growth and retention of talent within the organisation.
  • Support the end-to-end recruitment process, from job descriptions and advertisements to shortlisting, interviewing, and selection, ensuring we attract and hire the best talent.
  • Oversee the on boarding process, ensuring all new hires receive a seamless induction and integration into the organisation.
  • Play a key role in developing and implementing HR policies and initiatives, in line with employment legislation and best practice.
  • Support the HR Manager and Management team to drive employee engagement activities.
  • Support in training and development initiatives and succession planning.
  • Prepare and report HR metrics to support business decision making.
  • Keep up to date with changes in employment legislation, sharing relevant updates with the HR team and wider management.

Skills and experience required:

  • Experience as an HR Officer or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or similar industry.
  • Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively resolve employee relations issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and working to tight deadlines.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or currently working towards it.
  • Excellent organisational skills and able to demonstrate initiative
  • Full UK driving license and ability to travel regularly between 2 sites
