  • Inspect all assigned suites/rooms and public areas to ensure furnishings, guest rooms/suites, equipment, linens, and public areas are clean and in good repair to meet guest satisfaction. Advise employees of deficiencies and instruct on corrective action. Provide adequate retraining as needed
  • Meet daily productivity standards as determined by housekeeping management; and monitor colleagues for productivity
  • Review and update all housekeeping and other required records daily
  • Respond to guest complaints, special requests and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
  • Lead by example; routinely perform all housekeeping duties necessary including makingbeds,vacuuming and cleaning guest suites to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
  • Ensure all staff are properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their respective job duties
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects and as a housekeeping attendant during high volume periods
  • Ensure team members are trained and in compliance with brand standards, service behaviours and government regulations
  • Monitor performance and recommend support and HR actions in accordance with company rules and policies.
  • Maintain and order supplies and equipment in a timely and efficient manner while minimising waste and maintaining "green" initiatives (example: container recycling and cleaning agents).
  • Demonstrate a sound awareness of Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures and ensure the dissemination of information to all team members.
  • Ensure health and wellbeing initiatives are promoted and communicated to team members
  • Champion the identification and reporting of hazards, evaluation or risks, and design and implementation of hazard and control measures.
  • Provide WHS Committee representatives with adequate resources including time to actively participate in the committee.
  • Any other duties as requested by the hotel

What we need from you

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in housekeeping department in a hotel
  • Supervisory experience and people management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Ability to inspire passion, enthusiasm and positivity in the team to drive an engaged, winning culture
  • Excellent numerical skills, time management and organisational skills
  • A keen attention to detail
  • Articulate - A great communicator, you will be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to
  • Flexibility - Weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job
  • Fitness - You will be on your feet most of the day with lots of bending and kneeling
