About The Role
The Horticulturalist Team Leader provides oversight and prioritisation on day-to-day activities across client sites, providing hands-on support when required to ensure work is completed to the highest possible standard.
The role involves maintaining and enhancing gardens and outdoor spaces. This hands-on position is perfect for those passionate about gardening and landscaping, with a dedication to outdoor work.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist with overseeing team activities to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard
- Follow schedules and prioritise activities for team members, including planting, hedging, weeding, pruning, and fertilising
- Bring the best out in the team by providing plant knowledge transfer, guidance, mentorship, and coaching
- Regularly inspect garden areas to assess their condition, identify improvements needed, and implement corrective actions
- Promote a culture of safety
- Adhere to Company policies and procedures
About You
- Certificate II or III in Horticulture or equivalent
- Previous experience in a Team Leader role (desired)
- Valid Driver's licence (Manual preferred)
- Previous experience in gardening is essential
- A keen eye for detail and pride in your work
- Knowledge of perennials and historic gardens will be viewed favourably
- Knowledge of ride on cylinder mower use highly regarded
