Join Sutherland Shire Council as an Apprentice Horticulturalist and gain hands on experience maintaining some of the Shire's most beautiful parks, gardens, and open spaces.
About the OpportunityAs an apprentice, you'll learn from experienced professionals and develop practical skills in:
- Parks & Gardens maintenance - mowing, pruning, planting, and landscaping
- Turf and sports field management - keeping community facilities in top shape
- Bush-care and dune rehabilitation - protecting and restoring natural habitats
- Nursery operations - propagation, potting, and plant care
You'll also receive training in the safe use of equipment and horticultural chemicals to ensure a safe and sustainable workplace.
