The opportunity

Delaware North Australia is hiring a full-time Healthy Lifestyle Coordinator to join our team at Lizard Island Resort. As Healthy Lifestyle Coordinator, you will design and deliver a dynamic health and wellbeing program for our team members, fostering a positive and cohesive community through sport, recreation, fitness coaching, and social events. You will also provide administrative support to the island clinic and contribute to accommodation standards and inspections.

What will you do?
  • Design, implement, and monitor an annual program of health and wellness activities and events for team members
  • Deliver activities and events, engaging other staff groups and management as needed
  • Monitor program effectiveness and provide regular reports to the Management Team and Head Office
  • Support other employee engagement strategies and initiatives
  • Participate in the first aid responder program and assist the island clinic and nurse
  • Conduct entry, exit, and routine accommodation inspections to maintain hygiene and standards

  • Strong administrative background with knowledge and practical ability in health and wellbeing
  • Excellent coordination and planning skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and foster positive relationships
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances
