Position InformationMacquarie Fields High School is situated on Dharawal land and is a large inclusive secondary school with 1090 students in comprehensive, selective stream and Special Education classes. The school is culturally and linguistically diverse with 86% of students having language backgrounds other than English and 13 students of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background.

Specific Selection Criteria- Proven ability to initiate, implement and oversee whole school administrative roles including daily organisation of staff cover, variations to routine, employment of casuals and the development and implementation of rosters and schedules utilising high-level interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in leading and managing the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of administrative processes and practices, including timetabling, and equitable use of resources and systems to support the educational needs of a large complex school.
- A visible leader who can strategically contribute as part of a diverse executive team, driving whole-school improvement through effective, inclusive and professional collaboration, targeted initiatives, and a strong focus on high expectations.
- Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
- Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs.
- Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
- Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
- Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.
