The ACVVS program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference to the life of an older person, right here in the Central Coast.
We're looking for a kind and friendly volunteer to spend some quality time with a lovely older community member who enjoys reading, botany, bush walking, plants, animals, and a good chat over coffee. She loves getting out for a drive to the beach or simply relaxing at home with great conversation.
Her family and friends live a little further away, so regular visits from a friendly face would make a real difference in helping her feel more connected to her community. If you enjoy good company, nature, and meaningful conversation, this could be a truly rewarding way to give back.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
HammondCare
HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of elderly people.
HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements- 18 years or older
- National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for 30 minutes to one hour visits between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
