Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on property facilities and equipment.
Inspect all areas of the property for safety issues and take immediate corrective action.
Assist guests regarding property facilities in an informative and helpful way.
Inspect, clean, maintain, and repair all MEP systems available at the premises.
Maintain all lighting throughout the hotel.
Maintain all HVAC units.
Troubleshoot and repair all equipment that is non-operational.
Handle all work orders pertaining to the hotel.
Answer all calls regarding repairs; if unable to perform repairs, notify the duty engineer of the problem.
Maintain the reading of utility meters and report any deviations.
Conduct daily walk-arounds in all plant rooms and workshops; report any deviations.
Complete daily engineering operation checklists to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
Provide proper handover to the next shift, including pending issues and major work updates.
Address complaints within the given time frame; if unresolved, escalate and report to the duty engineer with detailed remarks.
Follow up on pending complaints during your shift and complete work in coordination with the Engineering Shift Leader.
Perform Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) for all equipment as instructed by the Engineering Shift Leader on a monthly basis, and update the PPM job sheet for validation by the Chief Engineer.
Operate the Building Management System (BMS) as required and notify the Engineering Shift Leader of any changes made during your shift, such as overriding valves or fans.
Maintain cleanliness of the workshop and plant rooms before, during, and after work activities.
Qualifications:
- Relevant building maintenance experience is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Previous experience with painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and pool/spa maintenance.
- Highly responsible and reliable.
- Adhere to HACCP procedures when intervening in the kitchen.
- Be flexible and willing to rotate within different subsections of the Engineering Department.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Engineering Shift Leader and the Chief Engineer.
