About the Role

As the General Manager - Engineering Services, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team with a key focus on client management, project delivery and business development across commercial, industrial, hospitality, health, education, retail, and strata residential facilities. You'll oversee the growth of building assessments, audits, and sustainability programs-helping clients achieve energy efficiency, cost savings, and Net Zero objectives.

Key Responsibilities Business Growth & Development
  • Drive growth across Renewables, Energy Procurement, Building Improvement and Asset Engineering business units.
  • Identify and develop opportunities in building assessments, energy audits, and performance improvement projects.
  • Lead initiatives that deliver sustainable practices and cost-saving solutions using tools such NABERS, Green Star, Energy Auditing, Condition Assessments and the like.
Client Management & Engagement
  • Identify and engage potential clients for new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients.
  • Conduct meetings to define project scope, budgets, and timelines while ensuring client satisfaction.
Technical Leadership
  • Oversee and support energy audits, utility assessments, and resource efficiency programs.
  • Develop solutions to achieve verified energy savings and emission reduction goals.
  • Plan and manage measurement and verification programs to ensure performance targets are met.
  • Provide technical oversight on data processing, analysis, and reporting within HFM's suite of tools.
Operational Excellence
  • Ensure all projects meet quality standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage adherence to project schedules and budgets.
  • Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Identify and capture new revenue opportunities across business units.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Experience in similar roles within the energy and building services sector.
  • Preferred degree qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Accredited NABERS Assessor (Energy and Water for Offices as a minimum) - highly desirable.
  • Green Star Accredited Professional (GSAP), WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP), or equivalent rating accreditation - highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of NABERS, Green Star, and sustainability assessment tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
