Located in the heart of Melbourne CBD, Mantra on Little Bourke offers self-contained executive studios, one and two bedroom apartments as well as craft brews, wines and gastropub style food at Alibi Kitchen and Bar. With its central location, you will be spoilt for choice for things to do in your free time with restaurants, café-filled laneways, bars, galleries, parklands and two of the most renowned sporting complexes in Australia - Etihad Stadium and the MCG - all at your doorstep.

Purpose As General Manager , you will oversee and manage all daily operations on the property, ensuring seamless and profitable function. This role requires a keen focus on every department, active involvement in operations, and stakeholder management. Your leadership will guide, coach and mentor your team, fostering a culture of excellence.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage all facets of the property including revenue management, recruiting & training, customer service and achievement of financial targets
  • Lead and develop your team to ensure the hotel's profitability and success
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, property owners, guests and regional shared services
  • Maintain excellent product and service standards whilst maximising revenue and balancing expenses
  • Recruit and develop a team engaged in driving positive customer sentiment
  • Act as a liaison within the local community, representing Accor and fostering community engagement
Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrate prior Hotel or General Manager experience with understanding across a range of departments and stakeholder management
  • Create environments where the team are encouraged and motivated to be their true selves
  • Confident in cultivating strong relationships, addressing challenging situations, and implementing solutions that enhance service quality
  • Experience driving financial growth through thoughtful strategy
  • Understanding of key hospitality metrics to drive top-line revenue and motivate the team
