Peerpoint, a global consulting platform by A&O Shearman, offers self directed consultant lawyers opportunities to work on 6 month or longer assignments in Abu Dhabi or Dubai. The role focuses on funds law, with flexibility for remote work.
Responsibilities- Draft, review and negotiate fund documentation (LPA, PPM, subscription agreements, side letters, management/advisory agreements)
- Advise on GP/LP governance, carry structures and regulatory approvals with DFSA, ADGM FSRA, SCA and CBUAE
- Lead fund closings and support secondary transactions and co investments
- Assist on asset management M&A, carried interest re organisation and incentive schemes
- Minimum 5+ years top tier post qualification experience in funds law at a top tier law firm
- In house legal experience in fund structuring and formation preferred
- Experience in the Middle East and fluency in Arabic
- Practising certificate (or equivalent) that entitles practising as a lawyer in the UAE
- Consulting mindset: highly professional, flexible, adaptable, self directed and proactive in career development
