Merrifield Consultants are delighted to be working with the Painshill Park Trust to find a Fundraising Manager, to focus on securing income to meet targets with a focus on trusts, foundations, statutory sources. The Fundraising Manager will manage relationships with funders and make sure that the charity has comprehensive records to enable regular reporting of progress against targets.

Main duties and responsibilities
Expand on Painshill's Fundraising Strategy and deliver significant income for the Charity
Be an ambitious, target-driven and proactive fundraiser to join the Painshill team during a period of significant growth
Have strategic accountability for fundraising and managing funder relationships, spearheading a programme of fundraising activity in order to continue the restoration and conservation of Charles Hamilton's 18th century garden masterpiece where The Walk is a Work of Art
Lead Painshill's competitive tendering and grant applications, developing our corporate partnerships, community fundraising and individual donor initiatives.
Identify, research, approach and cultivate new major donor prospects. Work closely with the Director, Trustees, Staff and existing supporters to map and build on their current networks
Engage with new and existing supporters
Grow income from grant giving bodies, Trusts and Foundations with a specific target
Develop a managed approach to legacy programmes securing legacy pledges
Working with the Director and Trustees identify suitable projects to build cases for support and wish lists for supporters
Skills and Experience:
- Experience of Trusts and Foundations fundraising and bid writing.
- Proven experience of securing substantial funding from Trusts and Foundations.
- Proven success in delivering results against set targets.
- Experience of building effective relationships with individuals in helping solicit support from Trusts and Foundations.
- Has an interest in and understanding of trends in Trusts and Foundations fundraising.
- Possesses highly developed written skills.
- Demonstrates excellent verbal communication skills
