About the Commission

The Corruption and Crime Commission (CCC) is a leading anti corruption agency whose primary purpose is to strengthen the integrity of the public sector, reduce corruption and disrupt criminal activity for the benefit of our community.

Working Environment

The Operations Directorate leads investigations into serious misconduct, unexplained wealth and criminal benefits within the Western Australia public sector, including the Western Australia Police.

Opportunity

The role of Financial Investigator is to actively participate in the conduct of complex financial investigations into allegations of unexplained wealth, criminal benefits and serious systemic misconduct.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and conduct financial investigations.
  • Collect, analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Develop investigative strategies that comply with legislation and court procedures.
  • Prepare evidence for court proceedings.
  • Work collaboratively with other Investigations and Operations Support units.
  • Present findings to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Australian citizen or immediately eligible for citizenship.
  • Conditional appointment upon satisfactory completion of a rigorous security clearance process.
  • Availability to work outside normal business hours as required.
  • Relevant experience in complex financial investigations.
  • Knowledge of legislation, rules of evidence and court procedures.
  • Proficiency in contemporary and traditional investigative techniques.
